It has been an honor hosting the event of the engagement of the Basque Government with the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. Iñigo Urkullu, the President of the Basque Government, has presented the agenda adopted by the United Nations as “a chance, so that nobody is left behind”. Different Basque stakeholders have also joined the agenda by now, such as CEBEK (the Business Association of the province of Bizkaia), EHU-UPV (The public university of the Basque Country), UNICEF in the Basque Country and Sareen Sarea, a social network to help disadvantaged people. In the picture you can see the representatives of all of them during the debate I, Vanessa Sánchez, moderated about the chance of implementing the international agenda.
The event was held in Vitoria-Gasteiz on April 11th 2018 at the Villa Suso Palace, a 16th century palace which is one of the architectural jewels of the old quarter of Vitoria-Gasteiz: the capital of the autonomous region called Basque Country, País Vasco or Euskadi, in Spain.
